FAREWELL TO A LEGEND IN NICK MOROZOFF

From close friend and member of Wheelchair Sports NSW Chris Sparks:

I am sorry to have to bring you the sad news of the passing of Nick Morozoff, one of our wheelchair sports’ great individuals.

For more than 20 years, Nick has worked to improve the lives of those with disabilities by tackling often complex and challenging physical and emotional issues with his unique talents and abilities.

Nick was the founder of Dynamic Living Designs, co-founded Seating Dynamics, he then went on to work for Northcott and finally GTK Rehab.  After the collapse of communism he taught the Russians how to manufacture lightweight wheelchairs and was an inspiration to so many people with disabilities as he showed how to really make the most of life in a wheelchair.

Nick climbed mountains, represented Australia in wheelchair basketball, sailed, backpacked around the world, bush camped, loved both water and snow skiing, was a talented photographer and prior to his injury a renowned dancer.

Nick is survived by his wife Allison and twin seven year old daughters Lara and Sasha.

There will no doubt be a wonderful celebration of Nick’s amazing life in the days to come.  Kindly note that Nick and Allison have asked for no flowers as Nick has nominated 3 charities, including Wheelchair Sports NSW, where he preferred you show your respect. to make a donation in memory of Nick, please click here.
