A bright sunny Sunday greeted NSW handcyclists for a new format of handcycling on Sunday 1st August. Instead of racing on road or a criterium track, the second race in the Series was held on a velodrome track.

Sceptics were settled early when a track inspection showed that the camber was not to be feared.

The race allowed for individual battles to take place and included formats: Flying 200m sprint, Sprint finals, 2km pursuit, Kirin and a Handcicap race to finish off the day.

At the conclusion of the day, a barbeque was put on by Gary Foley for all athletes, parents and family members in attendance.

From all corners, it was a successful day with room for expansion for the rest of the Series.
