Wheelchair AFL Club Challenge- Canberra

Event information

Wheelchair AFL is one of the fastest growing Wheelchair sports in Australia. A unisex game that is open to all abilities, Wheelchair AFL is a great way for people living with disabilities and those not living with disabilities to play sport alongside each other.

Wheelchair Sports NSW/ACT and AFL NSW/ACT are Co-Delivering regional and state-based competitions throughout the year. Once you have joined a local training program, entry to these competitions are open to you.

Players will get the chance to compete in a team environment and will form the foundation for competitive Wheelchair AFL match play. Wheelchair AFL's competitive Club Challenge #3 will be held on Saturday 24th August at 10am to 2pm.

No experience is necessary and we will provide you with equipment. Sydney Swans and GWS Giants playing kit will be organised and players will be placed into teams on the day.

If you have any questions or need more information please call Johnathon Liapis at Wheelchair Sports NSW/ACT on 0407682545 or email JohnL@wsnsw.org.au

Please Note: Wheelchair Sports NSW/ACT and AFL NSW/ACT will fund the event, however, athletes will need to find personal accomodation if they wish to stay in Canberra.
