An action-packed three days, with a range of divisions and opportunities for everyone to be involved and have fun.

3x3 Games: Fri 30th Oct, 6:30pm to 9pm at Illawarra Sports Stadium 
Sponsored by Mogo Wheelchairs, the exciting 3x3 tournament is in its fifth year. 3x3 is open to everybody, team and individual entries are accepted. Players can be allocated to teams with the assistance of organisers.

Game Structure: 10-minute games, or first to 21 points - whichever comes first.

Points on Court: 
Open Division: 8.5 points*
- Deductions: Juniors 1 point. Females 1 point. No limits per team.
Female Division: 9.5 points*^
- Deductions: Juniors 1 point. No limits per team.
Junior Division: 9.5 points*^
- No deductions

* Points may be adjusted to balance teams and enable participation. Teams to seek approval prior to the event if they are over the designated points. Leniency will be applied to encourage participation while ensuring fairness.

^ Female & Junior Div’s will proceed if we have 3 or more teams registered for these divisions.

 

5X5 Games: Sat 31st Oct - Sun 1st Nov at Illawarra Sports Stadium 

DIVISION 1 ELITE
An elite competition for athletes capable of playing in the NWBL & WNWBL or equivalent. Athletes are classifiable, able bodied as 4.5, with max 2 x 4.5's on court. 

Game Structure: 4 x 10-minute quarters, regular clock.

Points on Court: 
Div 1 Elite Open: 14 points* - Deductions: Juniors 1 point. Females 1 point. 2 on court.
Div 1 Elite Female: 14 points* - Deductions: Juniors 1 point. Females 1 point. 2 on court.

*If points on court restricts the Division 1 competitions from progressing, some flexibility will be given for all registered Div 1 teams, at the discretion of organisers.

Teams must seek approval prior to the event if they need to enter a team over 14 points.


DIVISION 2 INTERMEDIATE
The intermediate competition is for regular participants in wheelchair basketball and may compete at Club League level. Max 2 able-bodied athletes on court. Teams that consist of more than 2 able-bodied players (on court) can play but are not eligible to win the tournament.

Game Structure: 2 x 12-min halves, running clock, stop clock last 1min of game.

Points on Court: 
Div 2 Open: 16 points - Deductions: Juniors 1 point. Females 1 point. 2 on court.
Div 2 Female: 18 points* - Deductions: Juniors 1 point. 2 on court.

*Flexibility to points on court for Div 2 female games, at the discretion of organisers, to encouraging participation and development of our female competition, while ensuring fairness.

 

DIVISION 3 SOCIAL

Entry level wheelchair basketball games, no classification required, a fun way to learn the rules and format of a wheelchair basketball game. Individuals can enter and be placed in a suitable team.

Game Structure: 2 x 12-minute halves, running clock.

Div 3 Open: Mixed, Female only or junior teams.
Div 3 Female: Open to all females. 
Div 3 Junior: Open to all juniors (Male 23 yrs & Female 25 yrs and under). Games will be scheduled, as best possible so they do not clash with the Open Div 2 & Div 3 comps.
