About Wheelchair Sports NSW

Wheelchair Sports NSW (WS NSW) is the highest profile and largest single disability- sporting group in Australia. Its members include many of disability sports' biggest names, including Louise Sauvage (athletics), Troy Sachs (wheelchair basketball), David Hall (tennis) and John Maclean (endurance athlete).

The association conducts a wide and diverse range of events and programs catering for the novice to the elite Paralympian. These activities take place throughout the year in Sydney and other locations across regional NSW.

WS NSW is a not-for-profit organisation with an honorary board of management, seven full-time staff, seven part-time staff and many volunteer helpers who combine to manage the administration, marketing, promotion and delivery of the association's activities.

What Wheelchair Sports NSW offers?

WS NSW offers opportunities for all age groups and levels of ability to enjoy the benefits of involvement in sport. With over a dozen sports to choose from, there truly is 'something for everyone'. Being part of WS NSW can open up new vistas - as well as being a great social and recreational outlet.

WS NSW conducts a variety of programs and competition events for its members, and are coordinated by the staff in Sydney.

Sir Ludwig Guttman Award

A special congratulations to Michael Godfrey Roberts (WS NSW President) on receiving the highly prestigious Sir Ludwig Guttman Trophy. This is a wonderful achievement for Michael for his quarter century of work for disability sport in Australia.
